People Come and People Go

I love it when life works out for good people, and it's even better when I love those people.
I sat at James Joyce listening to Joseph tell me how everything is falling into place for him and Gus and I almost cried because that's part of the other side of the coin I mentioned a few months back. If horrible crimes and crazy tsunamis can happen, then people can be happy, dammit. Gus, Joe, my heart is content to have you home...here's to a memorable 6 weeks.

Arby leaves to Albania tomorrow and he will be sorely missed at work because he somehow turns the kitchen into a stand-up comedy dance club every weekend....it's hysterical. Have fun at home little darlin! Come back soon!

And then, there are nights like tonight when Hans, Oliver, Steve, and I have an impromptu jam session in the OG's parking lot singing everything from "Your body is a wonderland" to "I'll be" while Stevie and Ollie played the guitar. It was the full moon I suppose. But as soon as Hans and I heard Stevie singing, we literally JUMPED out of the car to swoon over this blue-eyed musical sweetheart. Things like that...random musical jam sessions with sweet people is where it's at. Things like that make me smile bc of their innocent nature. Life's not about liquor and crazy dance clubs. Sometimes all you need is moonlight, a guitar, and 4 music lovers.

After pulling into my driveway, I sat there for quite some time thinking about how much my life has changed and how many people are out of it, and what kinds of people are in it. I'm happy with my new friends and the people I've grown close to, but I could not help but miss part of the way my life used to be. Joseph recommended I watch a movie called Sliding Doors which is about the what-if aspect of life. Part of the movie is what happens when the protagonist misses the train, and the other is what happens when she makes it on the train.

I think I need to miss a train....or catch one...whatever takes me away from everydayness, if only for a while. Maybe God will wink at me and show me where I'm supposed to be.

Thanks for the quote on the last post Brad, I mean, anonymous blogger. It should definitely be taped on the redneck's back.

QOTD
"OK, I hope everyone has a great noche. (turns to me) Oh, "noche" is spanish for night!"
-Steve-

"What am I, Midnight's translator?!"
-Hans-

"You need to get some meat on your bone."
-Sherly- (she's still more fluent in Tagalog than in English.)
