"Better Together"
Lilly and her manfriend have reunited. While I do wish them well, I have mixed feelings about reunions. Part of me thinks they are shady because the relationship ended for a reason, right?
The other half of me, the half that makes up who I am....it likes to believe that reunions are romance at its best. That after a separation, you can realize that someone loved you or that someone could love you like you deserve to be loved. That after being away from someone, you can look at your life and see that it's not the same without them, that you want them there. Not so much that you need them, but that you want them there. It's great to be needed, don't get me wrong, but to be wanted, to be desired in a pure, loving manner, that's it right there...that's what makes the world turn. "With so many people to love in my life, tell me, why do I worry about one? But you put the happi- in my -ness...you put the good times into my fun." That Ben Harper sure can write some lines in their rawest form...those are the most touching.
Lilly wanted me to tell you about my drunken adventures from this past weekend, but I am feeling rather lethargic, pensive, and withdrawn at the present moment. She will probably make a post about my contretemps this past weekend. I'll leave it to her to tell you what I did..... :p
It was a gorgeous day today despite the clouds, the breeze made me want to close my eyes and just walk. Too bad I'd fall within walking 2 steps. It's a shame that this is finals week...I'd be outside playing or having a smoke if it weren't.
There were lots of crying babies on the train today...not fun when you have a ride as long as mine. I only regretted not having any muzzles with me.
